NYWF Print of Mark Wilson Levitating Carol Channing

Original 1964 New York World's Fair, Mark Wilson Levitating Carol Channing on Opening Day!

On the opening day of the Fair a TV special aired showing various attractions on the grounds.  To commemorate the event, Mark Wilson levitated Carol Channing for the General Cigar "Hall of Magic" Pavilion.  We believe this photo was shot by Irving Desfor, famous for decades of images of magicians.  Channing wore her costume from "Hello Dolly," the Broadway musical is which she starred at that time.   (Note, the Travelers Insurance Pavilion can be seen through the legs of the platform.  So apparently it was presented near the "Pool of Industry.")  Get yours now while they last!
